Channels dodge DD Direct
At least 10 private channels will soon move out of Doordarshan’s free DTH venture Direct Plus , leaving it with only 23. Of these,19 are DD’s own regional channels. DD’s demand for an annual carriage fee of Rs 1 crore from private channels is believed to be main reason behind this.
